The most disappointing amazing race eliminations in 2022

Seasons 33 and 34 of The Amazing Race both aired in 2022 with great casts, and some of the eliminations hit viewers hard as fan favorites went home.
Two seasons of The amazing race was aired in 2022 and there were disappointing eliminations in both seasons. Season 33 was unfortunate in timing to start before the pandemic, resulting in all teams being sent home after a few stages of the race and being delayed by over a year. When racing resumed not every team was able to return but those that did made for a great season. In Season 34, 12 new teams raced around the world competing only in elimination rounds, leading to stiff competition.
The amazing race Seasons 33 and 34 both had popular winners and runners-up, but not every lovable team made it to the finals. Both seasons had an impressive cast that brought the drama and the sweet moments. There was a mix of couples, like now-reality TV exes Caro Viehweg and Ray Gantt, and Kim and Penn Holderness, to family teams like twins Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert. Though many fans noted the pandemic’s impact on racing as it curtailed some of the extreme challenges, the cast more than made up for it with their endearing personalities.
Glenda & Lumumba Roberts
One of the most disappointing, if not surprising, eliminations of The amazing race Season 34 was the misfits Glenda and Lumumba. The newlyweds had struggled for several stages of the race but managed to prevail and maintained a positive attitude throughout the race. Viewers loved watching them because they were always supportive of each other and making hilarious comments. Their bumpy track record ended with them driving their car into a ditch and having a local man pull it out with a tractor, which they still laughed about.
Lulu & Lala Gonzales
Geminis have an interesting record The amazing race, when Natalie and Nadiya Anderson appeared in two separate seasons but failed to claim the win. Fans expected Lulu and Lala to have the same explosive personalities, but they quickly became fan favorites. They got off to a slow start in the first couple of stages but proved tough competition before finally dropping out. Lulu and Lala clearly have a fondness for the show and have made careers out of talking about it with their fellow racers on YouTube.
Abby Garrett and Will Freeman
It’s always difficult to watch teams The amazing race eliminated, especially if it was due to something beyond their control. Abby and Will are childhood sweethearts and longtime fans of the series. They could barely contain their excitement just to race, although they didn’t get much screen time. Fans were shocked that Abby and Will were eliminated because they tested positive for COVID-19 and their dream was dashed.
