My Unorthodox Life is back for a second wild season, delving back into the lives of fashion mogul Julia Haart and her four children. In case you’re new to the show, a quick recap: In Season 1, Julia talks a lot about fleeing her life in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York, and building a new life for herself as a fashion designer , sex-positive queen and high-profile CEO of Elite World Group, a model management agency.
Now the show is back for round two, but not without some major life updates and cast changes. For one, Julia was fired from Elite World Group and is no longer CEO. And secondly, she and her husband Silvio Scaglia are in the middle of a nasty divorce (so you won’t see him very often).
But there were also some fun, heartwarming new developments, such as the appearance of a certain Ra’ed Saade, who is introduced as a new boo for one of the existing cast members. Ra’ed is quickly taking the world of the Haarts by storm, leaving everyone wondering who exactly this man is. Well, here’s everything you need to know about Ra’ed. And spoilers: if he looks familiar, you might have seen him on a reality show before.
Who is Ra’ed?
This season, viewers meet the charismatic, loud and proud artistic Ra’ed Saade, who happens to be the new boyfriend of former Elite World Group COO Robert Brotherton. Ra’ed and Robert are actually old friends trying out an open relationship. At one point, Ra’ed even suggests that Robert go out and date more men because he’s met a lot of cuties at his gym.
The open relationship becomes a point of tension in Season 2, with the Haart family interfering. But it looks like these two lovebirds sorted things out in the end…but more on that in a moment.
Ra’ed is Lebanese and went to Syracuse University, where he and Robert first met, according to LinkedIn. Ra’ed graduated in 2009 with a degree in music business and vocal performance. He also has a master’s degree in classical vocal performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

What does Ra’ed do for a living?
He says on Instagram that he’s “a company by day and a singing performer/entertainer by night,” which is pretty vague. Thankfully, his LinkedIn profile provides some context. His last job — which he may still be working for — is listed as social media marketing manager for Fully Bully Sticks LLC, a company that sells dog treats. Ra’ed also worked as Robert’s personal assistant at Elite Model Management in August 2020, per Bustle.
While living in Los Angeles, Ra’ed worked as a fundraiser manager for the LA Opera, as a producer of live music events, and as a hospitality manager at Bustle.
Wait, have I seen him before?
Maybe you have! Ra’ed joined America’s Got Talent in 2019 with a role as an opera singer and whistler but was fired. wump wump.
He also appeared on The Voice: Arabia in 2015 and made it to the Battle Rounds. Ra’ed continued his reality streak by participating in Let’s Make a Deal in 2016 and The Gong Show in July 2017 via hustle. So he was clearly made for this type of show.
Are Ra’ed and Robert still together?
Spoiler alert: Robert and Ra’ed actually get engaged during the finale. And it appears they’re still engaged based on this Instagram post he just published.
What is Ra’ed’s net worth?
It is unclear. Given how many times he’s appeared on the show, Ra’ed probably made some money starring in My Unorthodox Life, but it’s hard to say how much he would have paid. Ra’ed also likely makes money from his job and singing performances, but there’s no way of knowing how much that brings in. Anyway, he and Robert seem very happy these days. Congratulations to the engaged couple!
Season 2 of My Unorthodox Life is now streaming on Netflix.
