Luke Gulbranson Slams ‘Summer House’ Costars for Not Being ‘Real Friends’

I call them out! Luke Gulbranson had some apt words for some of his former Summer House castmates and what goes on behind the scenes.
“There are some people who aren’t real friends who are just there to watch TV, get a paycheck and sit in their bed all day and they only come out when the cameras are rolling,” the 39- year-old model to Page Six on Monday 12 June. “And then there are other people who are actually real friends and are having a good time.”
While Gulbranson — who was not involved with the seventh season of the reality series, which premiered in May — didn’t mention any of the cast members by name, he was open about his thoughts on the final season.
“There are shows where the drama and the fights are what defines the show and I think Summer House has always been a great show that’s designed for people to really enjoy it and be like, ‘Damn, I wish I was there.’ “Fun with them,” he explained. “And somehow it’s kind of become like every girl I feel like is just trying to be one [Real Housewife] or something, and I’m like, “Dude, that’s not you – that’s not Summer House.”
He continued, “There’s going to be drama in every friend group. People are always arguing and arguing and bitching with each other, but it doesn’t always have to be as gross as, like, let’s lighten up and have some fun.”

The founder of Luke’s Maple Syrup made his debut on the Bravo show in 2020. In June 2022, Us Weekly confirmed that Gulbranson, Andrea Denver and Alex Wach would not be returning in the seventh installment of the series. (For his part, the Minnesota native was part of the Winter House cast back in the fall.)
“I won’t be doing Summer House this year,” he said on Instagram Live at the time. “I’m extremely grateful for the past three years that I’ve been on the show. I will miss my friends very much. I’m actually extremely depressed not being able to spend the summer with them – it breaks my heart but I know they’re going to have a great time and we’ll keep in touch.”
While Gulbranson hasn’t revealed the reason he left the show, the Bravo personality has been busy forging a whirlwind romance with former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams.
The couple were first hooked in April and Summer House co-star Lindsay Hubbard subtly confirmed the couple’s relationship by posting a picture of the reality stars holding hands over Easter – and deleted. The following month, Adams and Gulbranson were spotted buying rings. At the time, a source exclusively told us that the two had developed significant feelings in a short space of time.
“It seems like they’re moving fast, but they don’t care what other people think,” the insider said in May. “They are mad at each other and take their future seriously.”
