Omid Scobie’s rise from Heat reporter to Harry and Meghan’s biographer

For someone who insists he doesn’t enjoy being in the public eye, Omid Scobie doesn’t hesitate to step into the limelight.

The royal writer, who is often described as cheerleading the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, did so twice in the past week.

First he appeared before the Supreme Court on Monday as a witness in Prince Harry’s phone-hacking lawsuit against the editor of the Daily Mirror, claiming that he was taught how to illegally gather information during his internship at the newspaper two decades ago.
