
For over two decades Fast and Furious has thrilled audiences around the world with fast-paced action and family drama. Over the years, the franchise has captured the essence of Family-You-Choose with captivating ease Vin Diesel‘s Dominic Toretto and Paul Walkeris Brian O’Conner, who shared a special brotherly bond throughout the franchise up until Walker’s tragic death in 2013. Now that the saga is coming to an end and Fast X marks the beginning of the end of the road, movie star Michelle Rodriguez has hinted at what might be next on the agenda for the saga.
During an interview with diversityRodriguez hinted at the potential for further exploration of other stories within the US Fast Universe. “You pass the baton, you take the back seat, you go in the passenger side, you do all those things,” she said. When asked if she really had any intention of retiring, she added, “When it comes to the next generation, you have to do that.” [sit shotgun] That’s the only way they can shape the future.” If there was any doubt about whether spin-offs were on the table, Rodriguez’s on-screen crime partner Diesel clarified it by revealing how he’s worked on other stories “I started developing the female spinoff along with other spinoffs in 2017, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can start all the spinoffs,” he revealed. “Look how many characters and great talent there are in the film. There’s no way I can do that if I haven’t turned on every five seconds. These characters are engaging and we need to see more of them.”
Fast X Made a bumpy entrance into the cinemas
The comments come fresh on the back of Fast Xis the first cinema weekend. Originally it was assumed that the film would be one of two parts. In the style of Dominic Toretto, however, Diesel casually dropped news of a third part during the film’s premiere in Rome. While the news certainly came as a shock to fans preparing to bid farewell with the next film, it turns out the cast were also in the same car as the rest of the world. During the interview, Rodriguez was questioned when she found out about the news Almost X: part threeShe revealed: “On tour. To be perfectly honest, he is [Diesel] He always does something like that, but on tour we found out.”
Fast X, in which Dom and his family are confronted with a ghost from the past in the form of Jason MomoaDante’s villain faces some very high stakes as he has a whopping $340 million budget. As of this weekend, the film grossed $67.5 million domestically. While the film is a triumphant success in its own right, it still has a long way to go before it breaks even. However, there is still a long way to go and everything is possible.
