DreamWorks Unveils New Logo Sequence With ‘Shrek,’ ‘Boss Baby’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’

DreamWorks Animation updates its opening logo sequence to include some familiar faces.
In the new sequence, the iconic DreamWorks kid fishing on the moon leaves his post to travel the galaxy, meeting characters from main series such as The Bad Guys, How to Train Your Dragon, Boss Baby , “Kung Fu Panda”, “Shrek” and more. The journey is rounded out with appearances by Shrek, Fiona and Donkey before the child returns to the moon, all while retaining the classic logo imagery DreamWorks is known for.
The new sequence will premiere ahead of DreamWorks’ upcoming release of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish when it hits theaters on December 21st.
The new sequence was developed and produced by a creative team that included producer Suzanne Buirgy and production designer Kendall Cronkhite. The music was composed by Harry Gregson-Williams, who worked on the Shrek franchise along with other DreamWorks animated films.
Although the upcoming Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is set for a December 21st release, families hoping to see the film early on Thanksgiving weekend can catch a limited screening of the film – including the new theatrical release date – on December 26th November at 2:00pm local time, tickets to select theaters are on sale now.
In addition to the new Puss in Boots, DreamWorks is preparing a third film in the Trolls franchise, which is slated for release on November 17, 2023. A fourth Kung Fu Panda movie starring Jack Black is slated for a March 8, 2024 release.
