Tony Goss, age 67 of Jefferson, died Monday March 14, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Goss was born on December 28, 1954 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Worth and Claudia Sawyer Goss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ivory Goss, and a sister, Carolyn Howell.

Tony was a truck driver, he loved reading books, telling tall tales and watching John Wayne films. He was a Baptist and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Goss is survived by his wife, Marie Goss, a son, Ivory Goss of Jefferson, two daughters, Carol Denny and Wendy Goss, both of Jefferson, a brother, Robert Goss and his wife, Wilma of West Jefferson, a sister, Hazel Keys of Jefferson , a grandson, Nathaniel Denny of Jefferson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at home on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 126 Knollview Drive in Jefferson.
