Hannah Bronfman: An entrepreneur’s life is not glamorous

Hannah Bronfman’s life on Instagram might look near perfect, but building her own business has been far from perfect.

“It’s really important that you understand that the life of an entrepreneur isn’t glamorous,” Bronfman said during a panel titled “Building a Brand They Can’t Stop Talking About” at Sunday’s Girlboss Rally. “There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears that go into building a brand or a product.”

Bronfman launched her own fitness and lifestyle brand, HB FIT, four years ago.

The 31-year-old, who also DJs and invests in restaurants, also stressed that all is not what it seems on social media.

“We’re all aware that Instagrams are the things that people highlight, right?” she said. “I think people are actually trying more and more to be very real and show that other side because I think we’ve reached a limit with the level of perfection that we can tolerate.”

She added that people need to understand that “the work that needs to be done can be tiny and it doesn’t look cute,” but “that’s okay because at the end of the day, you do something that you count on every day.” can work toward your goal.”
