Jennifer Lopez Instagram Account Deletes All Posts, Other Social Channels Go Dark

With no explanation, Jennifer Lopez’s social media accounts have gone black and her widely shared Instagram has been completely deleted.
The singer, actress and producer’s Instagram account — her most followed platform with 226 million followers — revealed late Tuesday that she suddenly ran out of posts, and her profile picture was replaced with a solid black image.

J.Lo’s Twitter (45.5 million followers) and TikTok accounts (15.4 million) also replaced profile pictures with a black image, but on those platforms, her previous posts weren’t deleted.
Lopez representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In the past, celebrities and musicians have taken to social media accounts ahead of a big announcement, such as B. an album, set to zero.
Lopez’s most recent studio album, AKA, was released in 2014. She appeared alongside Shakira at the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show, which formed the basis of the Netflix documentary Halftime, which was released earlier this year.
On the film front, she most recently starred in the romantic comedy Marry Me with Owen Wilson and will star alongside Josh Duhamel in Shotgun Wedding, which is due out in December. As part of a multi-year pact between Netflix and its banner Nuyorican Productions, Lopez will star as an assassin in the action film The Mother, due out on the streamer next year. In 2021, she launched a skincare line, JLo Beauty.
Lopez and Ben Affleck married in Las Vegas this summer after the couple rekindled their relationship from the early 2000s, and she adopted Affleck as her legal last name.
Lopez is the only artist to simultaneously have a #1 film and a #1 album in the US, “The Wedding Planner” and “J.Lo” in 2001. That year, she became the first person to become Hispanic Ancestry honored with the Generation Award at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
